I am so glad it arrived okay, I have been worried sick that it was del to the wrong address etc.  Next time you are by the Ferrets let him have a look, he has some of the originals and was a big help.

Dave and Walt congrats. Puts us at 38 bow received. So with 49 of you waiting there is an 8% chance that one of you will get your bow soon.

Hey Dave,
Glad it made there in one piece.

Hope it shoots well for you. I was a little worried that I had pushed the wood to far to get a 28" draw on 51" stick.  :scared:    :scared:

Let me know how it works for you.

Have a good day sir
David

I just got in from the first shooting action with my new bow.  After I found the right arrow, I dialed it in really nice.  It's a hard shooter and I foresee some awesome times in the woods and on the 3ds with this bow.  Thanks so much Jess, it is everything I ever wanted in a takedown recurve!
Take a kid hunting!

There sure are some nice bows showing up on folks front porches. I just love these bow trades! They sure get the juices flowing.

I got excited when my doorbell rang today because most of the time people come through the garage in my house... then I realized it was Sunday

Got it to 24 but all the pics but this one was to blurry to see...needed a camera man. The numbers are from the belly side so I put tape at 261/2 inches so I never over draw. Ive had heck loosing weight on this thing and the fades were real tough to get right for some reason. Still at 50#.

Still got 4 more inches to go so how's it look...

WEELLLLL......
The good ole splinter bug found me this evening....

After flipping the tips, Started with some warm up draws on the tree, 10 @ 26 inches and then on the tenth draw at 27 inches. I herd the boom and was ducking flying osage....

Grabed some more staves and gonna start a new one tomorrow and see if I cant get one built before deadline....

Thanks
Boswell

Boswell sorry to see that.

I have scraped a bit more off my bow.

The top limb needs a little more.

Looking good Kelly!

Thought I was done.  Put 50 arrows through her yesterday.  Rarely shot a bow better.  Made a string and put a coat of finish on her last night.  Today I took her to the range to show her off.  After everyone was done test shooting her, started to notice a cyrsal (sp?).  Stupid ipe.  Same problem as last year.  The rest of my ipe is going in the fire pit.  What's another great compression wood?

Anyhow, hope I didn't over react.  I don't know that they were really a problem (matching top and bottom as it was book-matched out of the same stick.)  But I couldn't bring myself to send it out.  So I ground both spots out, fit in a couple patches, and it's in the giant easy bake oven right now.  I've got my fingers crossed.  If this doesn't work, I'm going to have to be late.  If it does work, well I hope my recipient isn't one of those superficial types....I swear it used to look almost perfect!

Wish me luck.  I'll try to post pics tomorrow.
