Copied a jig I saw in TBB #2 to try and straighten out my stick.

Steamed for an hour on the stove and clamped it up with slighlty more than straight since it may spring back a bit.

We'll see what it keeps tomorrow after sitting in the clamps overnight.

I learned it's always better to have more than one bow started thanks to fish's experience last year.
He made my mouth like a sharpened sword, in the shadow of his hand he hid me; he made me into a polished arrow, and concealed me in his quiver. Isaiah 49:2

Wow what a roller coaster the last 49 hours have been for me. My 14 year old son ran away and is still missing. police officer after police station has been all I have done lately.

Any way I needed a distraction you can only sit by the phone staring at it for so long. So I brought some tools inside the house where I was still close to the phone and made me up a makeshift caul.

A little work with the heat gun and  clamps and this is where I ended up this evening.

I will pull it off tomorrow and see how it holds sometime between calling kids, running down leads on my missing one..............I got to admit working in the sunroom was nice, and it did help me relax for an hour or so anyway.

I'm not looking for sympathy, just venting a little frustration!

Adeeden, sorry to hear that, wishing you the best.

Goose, i plan on starting another one or two bows as well just to make sure i get a good shooter done and to avoid having all the eggs in one basket.

Adeeden I'm very sorry to hear that.  I hope they return safe and soon.  I wish I could help somehow.  I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts

I got my osage today from KennyM.  What a guy.  I don't know what people on here have had the pleasure of doing business with him but to those who haven't I strongly suggest you do.  He was very helpful and sent it really quick.  Thanks again Kenny.

Couldn't imagine being a father in that situation.  May the Lord show you His plan through this situation.  If you're a bible fan 2 Peter 3:8-9 might help
