Here's a pic of the bow I will be sending out. Remember I said I had to cheat this year because of work. So this bow I refinished, it was in bad shape when I found it. So bad it was in peaces because the original glue had deteriorated. So I glued her back together, sanded, stained, sealed and wrapped a new grip on her.

Boswell, I agree with Sport and Stiks. The tiller looks terrific and the simple design is very appealling.

Yea h I hear you Red hill. I felt bad that I couldn't complete the one I started. But thought this one would be a good gift. Its an old bow..I believe from the 50's. Wish the packaging was readable, I would have like to know the maker.

Dave, everyone's bow used to be something before it was a bow. Yours was just a little closer to the finished product before you got started with it. Mine was an old beam I found in a barn.

Red Hill, you know the difference between in-laws and out-laws?

Out-laws are wanted.    :smileystooges:    :smileystooges:

Dave, there's nothing wrong with a bow being made better for the trade. I am a minimalist type person and re-work items constantly. I was just taking another jab at my mother-in-law!

As a matter of fact, after I left the computer a little while ago I went outside and ruined a bow that I've been trying to salvage. I was certain it wouldn't work anyway but had to give it a try.

Razorback, I have two great father-in-laws. My wife's dad and her step-dad. Don't have a mother-in-law... uh,later on that point.

Red, I have in-laws I can't complain about either. That saying was given to my parents by my sister in law years ago and it took them years to work out if she was talking about them or herself. Turns out she was talking about herself, funny thing is my parents would give her anything but she is a witch to them. Oh well she is in Australia so I don't have to talk to her too often.

Sorry about the blown bow. Recycling is always a satisfying process but loosing one is just as bad as a new one.

No sence in feeling bad at all Dave it looks great.  I really like the older stuff like that.
Boswell I acutally like the B-50 wrapped tips better than the horn you were going for.  Well done

Figured I would post some teasers of the build for ******.  Fortunatly I was really busy at work over the past few months so I slacked up a bit....

Glued Up and Ready to Cook:

In the Oven few Hours she will be well done!

Roughed out ready to finish:

Ill Post the finished ones in a bit...  Came out a little light in draw weight but was a great shooter none the less (Need to get a new scale, mine gaves me different readings every time I try to test the Draw weight...)

Hope ***** Likes it!
