Here's better pictures but I want to shoot it more than 3 times... my neighbors came over last night and we talked about the bow until it was too dark to shoot it     :banghead:    I love the character checks near the limb tips.  That makes it just that much cooler to me.  I love that almost more than anything on the bow.

I'll wait till my wife gets home so I can take some better pictures for the finished trade bow post.

I'm not sure if my son was more excited that I got my trade bow or that I got a sweet tube to play with.  I've played with the tube more than I have the bow.  I'm thinking I need to help him get his priorities straight.

No, just some run of the mill osage...

Well actually, osage is anything but run of the mill here in Virginia.  I got Kenny to make me some nice belly lams after I threw the rest of my ipe on the campfire in frustration.  I can see why all of you blessed with an abundance of the stuff love it so much.

No, no.... I was given a weight and by god I'm gonna hit the specified weight.  (I was a pound under on a hickory self bow back in May, which is why I'm where I'm at now.)  If ya aint picky, you should specify a wider range at the beginning....

Ya know sticks probably eats yellow snow too, probably thinks its lemon ice.

It really is a striking looking riser. not the fenciest I have ever seen but that bright yellow and the lines of it make it absolutely striking.

All reasons (excuses) aside, I want to apologize to my recipient for the bow being so late.  It went in the mail today so it should show up on Monday or Tuesday via USPS if all goes well.  Again, I'm sorry about how long it took.

Alright that's it! Looks like i got to start me a thumping list Starting with Roy, Dave then Tony.

    :deadhorse:

Actually I'll put Roy on the end of the list, Won't need much to take an old timer LOL.

Canopy I guess it must of been the glare or something in the pic cause I was wondering why there was a glass belly on all wood bow LOL. Sure is some bright osage and I bet it will look even better when she darkens up a bit. Awesome looking combo for sure any way you look at it. Hope it shows up on my door step next week so I can get a real close look at her.

Well we are back up to 9 in the mail. We only have 13 that need to hit the mail a couple of them are on hold and a couple I know are running a bit late. And one I had to switch and they will need a bit more time to shave a bit of weight for there new bowyer.

Well, i know i've been scarce, but been working bows plenty.  My tradebow was finally "sendable", in the mail yesterday.  I wanted to keep working and tweaking (you know how it is, never good'nuff).  I hope ******* likes it.

She's hickory with a thin linen backing (due to a worrisome swirl, though she coulda done without), and a camo backing over that for cosmetics (never like the way my linen looks).  Heartwood hickory tip overlays, hick and mahogany lam stack for the handle.  "Natural" stain with poly and wax over that.  Here's some pics.

I'll c if ******wants to post the moneyshot.  He should have it Tuesday-ish:)

Hope y'all like.

It took me awhile to find the bow in that first pic. Cool camo.

Dave, I didn't even see the first photo until you mentioned it. I really like the lines of that bow's profile. Boy there are a lot of lucky people in this swap, even at the end.
