Awesome.

Sorry, but i think its still on track. The swap isnt about bows anyway. We are all glad your family is back together. This only makes the swap better this year.

I cleaned up the skins and put the first coat of finish on her today. I use deft and it dry's pretty quick so I should have two maybe three coats on today.

All that's left is to get the finish, done hand buff it, get a string built. Been pondering building one or two arrows with a stone head and sending it along.

Watching and waiting...watching some incredible bows evolving into masterpieces and waiting for a friend to help me band saw my stave so I can move forward with my selfbow!

I will post some picts of the stave I picked from the bunch I have harvested (hop hornbeam).

(Very happy to hear the news Adeeden...I have some little ones at home and cannot imagin what you and your family have gone thru...maybe a little bit as something similar happened with my sister a long time ago..turned out ok).

Sanded one out today and built a string.  I'm currently on the 3rd coat of Deft.  I'm figuring that I'll shoot it in this week and make sure she's good to go.  Then it'll be off to the new owner soon if there aren't any hiccups.  It's one of the MANY I started a few weeks ago.  I have a couple that finished out but I like the way this one shoots the best.  I might just leave it up to the new owner to send pics of the brace and full draw.  It's still in debate.

Glad to hear Adeeden that your son is back home.  I'll third what DVS said.

Fellers, it is almost too fancied up. I guess I'll ship it out if it makes weight.

Thanks!

I got this far on my bow so far. I sealed it with two dips per half of Zip Gaurd. Its dry, but I want to let it cure hard a few days before I tinker with the grip work. She has a hundred or so rounds fired through her, plus mucho' exercise during tillering. "Should" be good to go for my recipient.
