I have an array of exotics laying in the shop I am brainstorming the design of the build and then awaiting the Name to customize the whole build!

Got my guys name and I am delighted to be oficialy in. He wants what I like to make for myself, so i feel confident I can come up with a shooter.
Staves dry are ready to go, just a matter of deciding the type of wood, Thinking about some
Hop- Hornbeam, and the design for it., Holmgard? Molegabet? Pyramid with a shelf and handle ? some reflex? flip the tips a bit? Osage? Ash?

And the finish to use, Tru oil of course but I had real good luck with a spray last year too. Hmmmm.
can't wait to start, Tonight I will pick a stave and do some layout I think.

Stiks isn't the only one who got an early start. I have one partly tillered and I just pulled another one out of the clamps this afternoon. It's a hickory, walnut tri lam. I got it roughed in to shape and rough sanded. It looks good. Now I'll leave it a day or two to settle in before starting to tiller it. I'll post pictures as soon as possible.
I'm going to glue up at least one or two more blanks so I can ship the best one possible to *****.
This way I should also end up with a nice new bow for myself when I go down to Ohio for turkey season in April.   :archer:

Yeah, I plan to get started earlier this year as well, but I just can't bring myself to even start designing it in my head before I know who it's for.

(Of course, now that part is taken care of and I have no excuses...)

Guess I'll just try to figure out what tree to cut down tonight by a full moon with a glass of bourbon to keep me company in the newly fallen snow.  Figure it'll be good mojo.
