I just learned something that makes me think my plan for the swap is not the right one. It would be a sin to send what I had planned so I'm going to start a different design. I think maybe a cherry flatbow with a backing might be more in order. So I'll be a little later, but there's still lots of time. Rob

Ugh, back to the drawing board.  Need to come up with a better mousetrap for tip steaming, my ghetto setup apparently did not work.  I hate the sound crack...

First that actually broke on me, my other failures have been design related.  

On to the next bow.

Red oak board bow. 68" pulling about 55 @ 28". Im shooting for about 50@27". Does anyone see any problems with the tiller?

 My plan is to do(with my wife's help)a pictograph cave type drawing on the rawhide backing instead of skins or a dye job. Something like this...

citycop. Its kind of hard to tell with a busy background like that but it kinda looks like your right limb may be a little stiffer.
