Wood carver, I drill two holes in the center of the handle and stick tooth picks in those holes to hold it in place there. I suppose I could use the little blocks there also, DUH:) I sometimes use tooth picks at mid limb and the tips, but sometimes some dummy drills the holes at an angle and I end up with half a tooth pick along the side of the mid limb or limb tip:)

That Raspberry beer bottle has been empty for a week, it's the one I made Chisler drink at our last Bownanza. I just stick it in the pictures to make Kate happy.

Very sharp bow StoneAK, I don't think anyone would return that one if it showed up at their door.

Hell that would be one of my most coveted it if it showed up in Montana.  I'll drink a Raspberry Shock Top  to that...maybe one for Roy too.

I'd tip up a nice Blue Moon to that bow anyday! Hell maybe even an Ettaler Dunkel Weiss!

Its not fair!  Do you guys work at all?  Between Work and Wife and baby on the way I have about 25 seconds of free time!  I plan on the glue up tonight.  I finally decided on a BBI.

StoneAK, if you don't think your bow is good enough for the swap, I'll trade you for one of my carved wall panels.  :bigsmyl:  That bow is a beauty.
Roy, I used your toothpick method and it works well too.

Vanilla Bear, congrats on the bow, from the first pic I believe you hit the jackpot with that one.

StoneAK, I'd be proud to give it a home.

There are many very talented craftsmen in this trade, great work guys!!!!!Dan

Well, since my first bow for the trade went all "crack", it is resting until some sinew comes my way.
Meantime, I started working this BBI that's been just sitting here, got it on short brace pulled to 18" @ desired weight:

If my first one is unsalvageable, this will be my trade bow.  Just a strip of maple in the handle, and some osage/ipe/maple tips.

No doubt this one will make **lbs @ **inches.
