The longer I get to shoot my recipient's trade bow the more I enjoy it.  I may have to just make another to send the best of the two.  Very close to brace height.

"Powertools and a loving wife!

Great combo!!!

Ok, this stave came with a little deflex when I started. I tried to dry heat it out and got some results but it's at my members weight and draw length and has had 60/70 arrows thru it and has pretty much gone back to it's natural deflex maybe a tad more.

Question, do you think I should start over with another trade bow...  I don't mind or should I send it after it's gussied up or ...try to fix this one?

I sure wish it would have held the heat,,,

Set happens and that doesn't look bad at all. I always measure from the bows back not on the handle like it appears you are doing. That looks like only 1/2" difference between tips and the back of the handle so I'd call that pretty nice overall. Also the fact that it's YEW gives it extra style points!

Man I have not been on in a while. Great to see some of this awesome work. I've picked up most of the material for my bow. Time will tell how it turns out.

So im in the shop today working on something when i hear the familiar hum of the mail lady's truck. No big deal she comes here almost everyday. Then i hear a honk. Somethings up. I open the door and she is fumbling with a long tube with my name on it...

Sweet! Who was your builder? Stats?

I know someone else who is getting something in the mail on Friday. I don't want to give any hints so I'll just say it's ******* and leave it at that.

I was lucky enough to draw this beautiful bow from KennyM. This thing is awesome. I've tried callin Kenny a few times today to say thanks but he hasnt answered. He might be mad at me for gettin this incredible bow. Its 58in. ntn and 50@28.  I spent the day shooting it and tuning it to my woodies and it shoots great. I didn't get to get that many pictures because I was busy shooting it. It is very quiet now that I put on my quiver and silencers. No hand shock and smooth draw. I'm working on pictures right now, but mt internet service is sooooo

My first couple of vollys went a bit low, which is normal when I shoot lighter weight.

But after a few minutes and some tuning I had it all workin good.

I will put up some better pics tomorrow when Ive got some better weather.  Thanks again Kenny this bow is awesome. I've got a good shot at drawing first blood for 2012 come turkey season. I might even go try and kick up a bunny or two before that.  Its a hell of a starting point for the swap.   :notworthy:
