Made a bow for my wife
« on: January 20, 2012, 05:54:00 PM »
This is a bow I built for my wife (with the help of Greg In Mallad).
The bow is all Pacific Yew, 64" and is 33lbs@28".
This is her first bow (and my second build) she's starting to get the hang of it pretty quick.
Thanks for the help Greg!

Mark

Thanks guys, we're having a good time shooting together.
Those mountains should be buried in snow, we're a little short this year.

Mark, the bow turned out really nice and the bighorn sheep tip overlays look great.
That mountain makes good scenery but you dont want to climb it twice, it is steep and rugged. I camped out on it one night and the campfire rolled down the hill, there isn't one square inch thats flat.
I didnt miss, thats right where I was aiming

Thanks, True about the mountain being steep. Right now it's covered in fog.
Greg, thanks for the help and the sheep overlays.
Building that bow for her was one of the smarter things I've done, we have had a great time shooting and she is getting better every time.

Great looking bow Mark. After seeing your work and how nice, of bow that you made for my wife last year on the swap. I am sure it's a dandy shooter and very nice bow. Lulyn loves the one that you made her. Another great bow!

Thanks guys, I like those old St.Charles Thunderbird's (all Yew) so this is my longbow version, although not my design.
Keenan, glad Lulyn likes it, my wife and I are having a great time shooting together. Hope you two are also.
