Well I am about to begin to make me an ambidextorus riser out of a solid piece of blood wood from Peru.
Before I start, anybody got any suggestios as how to begin, as I have not done this before.

I have seen a few glass bows that are ambidextrous and they were I-Beam risers with phenolic to strengthen.
Hope this helps you

I'd not cut the sight windows very deep.
This bow has a 5/8" phenolic "I beam" riser. I "I beam" all my double shelfs for strenght. Not saying it needs to be done just what I do. Probably could have cut the shelves a bit deeper on this bow but with the proper spined arrows it shoots well.

When I make a new riser design I always cut it out of a pine 2X4 just to make sure what I had in mind is what I want . It only takes a short time and could save some expensive wood

Thanks Kenny!
The phenolic really stiffens up the riser.
I call that bow "Confusion"
Not sure right or left
or what weight to shoot.
