50lb and under shooters
« on: February 23, 2008, 07:08:00 PM »
As in another thead about bows and broadheads, how about a list of shooters that shoots 50 lbs and under, what animals they have shot with what broadheads? List the style of bow, the animal/animals harvested, and with what broadhead
Genesis 27:3 Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me [some] venison

I shot a 160 pound doe with a 35 pound Hill and 140grn, Hill broadhead, the year I injured my elbow shooting a 96 pound bow.
My wife has shot a number of whitetail with a 38@26 Red Wing and Grizzly broadheads, with left wing feathers.

These guys were all shot with 49# recurves at a 29 inch draw.  Broadhead used was a Thunderhead 125 in each case.

I shoot a 50# Bear Super Kodiak.  Thanks to the Good LORD this hunting season I was able to take 5 deer.  Two were shot with a Bear broadhead with bleeder blades, one was shot with 4-blade Zwickey Delta and two were shot with an Ace standard.

I have filled every archery tag I could get my hands on here in WV in the past three seasons and have yet to carry a bow in the woods over 49#s. Last two seasons were 46# bows. My arrows are always carbon and my broadheads are ALWAYS multi-blade heads. Snuffers with my BW recurve and  with my longbow I use SteelForce with bleeders.

hey Otto!   you need a hunting buddy?   :archer:
