Material Chart
« on: March 18, 2012, 11:17:00 PM »
Hi, I'm VERY new at this and I'm thinking about trying to build a set of limbs for a riser that I already have. Is there some kind of chart or explanation for the materials needed for different poundages of limbs if you know the width and length and either recurve or longbow. Thanx,...Lloyd  :help:    :dunno:

Check out Bingham's website.  They have a chart for total stack thickness for their bow designs.  The key here is that it is for THEIR BOW DESIGNS.  The shape/curve of your limbs combined with the length of your riser will also influence the bow's final draw weight.  There is really not a one size fits all sort of chart unless you exactly follow someone elses design such as Bingham's.
