I had to put my boo on boo project aside for now, life gets in the way sometimes. If you go without a core lam the boo will need to be thicker to make wt. than it would be if you just used it as a backing. With back fibers and nodes intact on the back and belly I'm going with 1/4" on each piece of boo at the fades then tapering down to 3/16" mid limb, then 1/8" at the tips. That would give me an overall limb thickness of 1/2" at fades, 3/8" mid limb, 1/4" at the tips, hopefully that along with my limb profile will yeild something between 50-60#
I doubt that I will get back to working on it till after turkey season is over. Unless of course I check 2 birds by the 2nd weekend, but that rarely happens around here.
