Hog thickness sander

Has anyone had experience with this machine making limb laminations?  Looks like an alternative to a $600 sander.

No experience, but have almost bought it a couple times.  I also priced out materials to make one myself, and it didn't seem worth even trying.  I figure it is a good price.
Although, for that money, you could put together 5 of these:

Am also interested in any hands-on review.

I bought one of these a long time ago, then lucked into a performax sander not long after. It worked pretty good as long as the sandpaper was tight. There is a learning curve with any sander you have to self feed though. Just takes some getting used to.
I honestly forgot I had it until I read this! PM me if you're interested. I might make you a deal.
