A note for new builders
« on: May 11, 2012, 12:32:00 PM »
an artist friend of mine sent me this after he patiently listened to me bitch how all the bows I've been making aren't what I hoped they'd be.  I have this hanging on the wall above my work bench.

Show me your ways, LORD,teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me,for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

Outstanding.  Just stole to print out copies for posting throughout the house.

Excellent. Your friend did us all a good turn. Think I'll print that off and post it in my classroom.

That is awesome.  Describes my bow building experience perfectly.  I am still at the "Do a lot of work" stage!

When I first started glass bows I asked Chuck a bunch of questions and he told me basically the same thing, you got to make a ton of bows to get good at it and make every mistake at least a couple of times and he is right and I keep plugging away.
