Black Walnut Selfbow "Black Death"

I finally finished this one up a few days ago and have it shot in.  I always wanted to try a Black Walnut stave and got this one a few years back. It is almost all sapwood except a bit in the handle, nott that it makes a difference when you black it out.  I added some black boa skins and horn tip overlays, with a zebrawood accent to round out the handle.  This was the first time I have ever used a floppy rest too.  I normally leave a little wood in the handle.  The bow was dyed with analine dye from Mike at Pine hollow.  The stuff works on everything I use it on.  65in. ntn and 66 ttt. 50@28 and 45@26.

 Great looking bow. How does the Walnut hold up as a Selfbow? We have lots of it around here.

"Clear as mud"  that's my input.  Nice bow it looks a lot like a skinny bow I saw made with shoe polish.  Good lookin.

Maybe black pearl, but then who would get it?

Bretto, the walnut works pretty easy, and didn't put up any fight. Took well to heat too.  Is use it again if i had more of it.
