Getting a character bow built?
« on: May 31, 2012, 01:21:00 PM »
I spoke to John Strunk, but he's not sure he has a stave. Who makes a good osage or yew character bow? I'm a longtime woodworker, and really like the impossibility of such a shape yielding a perfectly shooting bow. I had a Ryan Sullivan for a while, but gave it to a fellow shooter

I'm a LEFTY, if you have one on hand.

Show me what you like/made. Thanks!
Marco

Ted Fry at Raptor Archery would be good for that project. He will be back from guiding in a week or two.

Those bows at gillsprimitive are pretty neat.
I guess a guy could call those center-tillered or something.

Intriguing to say the least.
