I shot this with fingers at my 28" draw length. I made the aluminum shafting on the end of my arrow long enough that when I feel it hit the cushion plunger I know I'm at full draw. Makes a nice quiet clicker.

Ben can I see a pic of your arrow?  Are you putting aluminum over DF?  I like the sound of the "silent clicker".

Cuban Missile I'm not sure what you mean by DF but I'm talking about cutting an aluminum arrow shaft that I use when I foot my carbon arrows to a length that causes it to hit my cushion plunger button at my full draw length. This can make for a footing that is longer than most but not by much. I have to make up some heavier arrows so I'll try to get some pictures.

1 - 1/8" at the riser?  Wow those are some skinny limbs! Are they the same at the fades? How thick at the nock?

I thought you said you used Douglas Fir arrows earlier.  This is even better because I use carbons too.

Galen, them are some great numbers, glad i could be of help. Also that bow felt great in my hand and the thinness of the bow looked great . I dont think the pictures do it justice.

Cuban Missile I used the fir as laminations in the bow not arrows. Good luck with your arrows.

I get my bows on here every now and then, most of the time when I got some cool wood or a new design... but I would be willing to bet your 650 Gr arrows haul at a respectable 164 fps and deliver a punishing 39 ft-lbf of force! I think that bear better look out for you.

I wanted to see what a lower brace height would do so I made a new string and got the brace height down to 6 1/2" from 7 1/4". I shot the same arrows and a 688 grain arrow. Got some interesting results. But I did find out I'm drawing 28 1/2" not 28" anyway here's the original numbers and the new/
7 1/4" brace height
588 gr arrow-10.7 gr/lb = 174 fps
512 gr arrow-9.3 gr/lb = 184 fps
430 gr arrow-7.8 gr/lb = 202 fps
6 1/2" brace height
688 gr arrow- 12.5 gr/lb = 169 fps
588 gr arrow-10.7 gr/lb = 179 fps
512 gr arrow-9.3 gr/lb = 189 fps
430 gr arrow-7.8 gr/lb = 204 fps
The light arrow didn't change much at all but it likes heavy arrows. The rest went up 5 fps. The lower brace height was a lot quieter and had less vibration which surprised me. But I'm still shooting over everything so I switched back to the original string and raised the brace height up to 7 1/2". Hopefully that will slow the arrows down enough that they will work with the old computer between my ears.

The total bow length n to n is 63" each limb is approx 28" 1 1/8" wide at the riser and under 1/2" at the nock. I use a 4" tip wedge that .003 per in taper and a pair of power wedges 10" and 12" long at .003" per in taper. Butt thickness wo the wedges is .355" the tip is .289"
