mesquite n rattlers
« on: August 08, 2012, 02:29:00 PM »
That's about all thats thriving in this prolonged heat and drought.
I've been working on this 52 inch sinew backed mesquite for a while. Heavily influenced by Ed Scott. A very pleasant 40 lbs at 26 inches. Made a little mesquite handled knife to go with it.

Nice!

Thats some nice gear Charles.
That knife is sweet.
Did you study with Ed Scott or just study his work? Very nice either way. Hope the heat and drought give you some relief soon,

That's a slick combo. I hope to get some mesquite cut this month before the deer hunters show up.

Awesome little bow Charles. Although the full draw would look better with you're other model.   ;)

That's a set knife to. I really like the profile of it.

Love em both, and that damascus steel knife is beautiful! Both works of art.

That is a sweet looking bow. I tried to make a Ed Scott type bow and mine didn't turn out to well. Thanks for sharing. Dean

Guess I learned something new today. Never thought mesquite was good for anything other than the BBQ.

The knife is a stud!!!

Great work on both.
