I have a 1968 Browning Spartan 47# in Mint Condition. I want to use this bow alot. It has no overlays on tips, do you think it needs them and is it possible to ad them on

Shouldn't be a problem, lightly sand the tips to rough them up a little, Then add one layers of 1/16' phenolic and another of 1/8". I like to use smooth-on epoxy. That should do it. Tony

If its a one time thing, Gorilla super glue with the blue top is a popular choice and easier to source than Smooth-On.
If you will be shooting a Dacron B-50 string, you should be fine with no overlays, but it is a pretty simple add on.
