Natural Boo Core
« on: August 25, 2012, 11:12:00 AM »
Does anyone on the bench use natural boo cores for lam glass bows?

I use the tread risers mostly but was thinking of grInding a few of my natural boo slats down to make my core lams.  Any advantages?  Opinions?

My thoughts would be with the tread risers I could more consistently meet my desiered draw weight... But I have been known to be wrong a few times

I just glued up a bow with natural boo.  I just ground down some moso boo slats i had on the belt sander to make .090 lams.  Worked very well as looks good under clear glass.

Thanks guys...

I wonder if there are any difference performance wise between the A-bow or natural boo for the cores. Speed, longjevity, etc...
