I'm with DVS, snakewood! I like the string used as an arrow shelf. Nice set up.

Thanks again everyone !
The rawhide string works great as a semi shelf. The arrow is still mostly being shot off the hand. The string wrap mostly gives the hand a reference grip.
Chuck, the rock is Alibates flint (agate) I collect from a private ranch. It is some wonderful material, need any ?

Very cool and unique- I'd still love to see what Lex and yourself could do with a '68 Bonnville or a hardtail Chief

Inspiring bow Snakewood.  Man that was one big copperhead.  I have never seen one over three feet.

Did you sinew it before you started tillering or during the tiller process?

About 900 grains dry weight Elk back sinew. Floor tillered just barely bending prior to sinew.

The sinew has now pulled the bow into 3 inches of reflex. This is with TB 3. Maybe hide glue would have allowed the sinew to pull more reflex but much past this would bring about stability issues. I'm quite pleased with the TB 3 /sinew combination.

WHAT!!!!!

Aparently you werent listenin, when they told ya that TB3 and sinew aint worth it and that it WONT draw it into reflex.LOL!!!!!!

I see a hint Of Ed Scott influence in the bow in other areas as well.Do you know Ed?
