Arrow question

I have some arrows that are all crested up....I plan on using them this year, but I sure don't like them all painted up like they are.  How do you suggest I go about taking that cresting off and the other colors that go along with it.  Just not a fan of all the cresting....I'm a neutral/drab/nature color kind of guy

Might be too much trouble to take it off. Maybe cover it with some low key paint?

I would just shoot them....they will break soon enough; not worth the effort. Buy some new shafts and finish to your liking.

Is it painted on or is it wrapped?  Carbon, aluminum or wood?

Wrap them with plain white wrap.  Increases visibility while shooting and searching for wayward arrows.  Howard H always seemed to be pictured with white capped arrows.

I'd use steel wool and then refinish with some dull colors or stain.

I've used a hairdryer to get those wraps off before but that was on carbon shafts.
