Would you mind posting a picture of the unstrung profile on those?

Id be interested to see the general limb shape for consideration in a future R/D form that I plant to build.

Thanks,

Steve

Steve, here are some unstrung pics.
Kenny, you're bocote lams turned out really nice.  I loved the color.  I believe I may need some more.

That bocote is gorgeous!

Do you mind if I ask what overall taper you used? I would guess .002 or less, just because based on the braced and full draw pics, I was expecting a lot more reflex in the unstrung profile.

Thanks,

Steve

Steve,
Believe it or not but it has .003 taper.  I get my lams from Kenny and he puts .002 on one pair and .001 on the other.  One of the pairs is called a "super lam" because he builds in the power lam for the riser area and tip wedges for the tips.  I have used all amber boo for the cores.  The vineers are parallel.  Hope this helps.

Wow, those are great! If you don't mind, how did you find that limb profile to build them from? Really neat, and great skill you have

NormanDale33,
My son has a bow we used to trace the outline on a piece of cardboard and made a pattern of plywood to build the form.

They're both clearly incredible. I just don't know how you choose one or the other to take out shooting/hunting. Fantastic!
