I liked the looks of yours you posted earlier in this thread, was that true oil? That war dress almost got me kilt a few weeks ago. I bought that for the wife quite a few years ago and it's a little small for her now, so she hung it on the wall. I told her I'd like to make arm guards and quivers out of it. Did I ever tell ya, I can run faster than her:) LMAO

Ok Roy it's been a few days and I'm still salivating. By now you should have some more coats of finish on her. That is unless your still on the run from the Misses for playing with her dress      :deadhorse:

Tongue oil has to dry 24 hours between coats, ole boy:) I put the second coat on this morning. I'll do the 3rd coat tomorrow morning and take a picture for ya. The belly is looking super, the sap wood still looks a little dull. That normal or did ya send me bad Yew?

It's probably just you that looks a little dull... Or is that dim?

I had plans to finish my yew project the same time as yours Roy but that stuff kills me to work. I get pain in my arms and shoulders and all through my chest. Plus the sneezing. I'll be honest I'm tempted to give up on it. Everytime I work it it gets worse. Did you have any issues. I probably need a mask better than what I got.

I didn't have any problems, Dave. But IPE really laid the smack to me a couple years ago.

After 2 coats, the belly of this bow is just unbelievable. Takes my breath away looking at it.
