Hey all,

I've got the bug to make this killer bow based off a design I've been thinking about.  The osage was harvested in tulsa 2009. Three of us stick bow guys went to o-jam in 09 and Doug down there showed us where to go and gave us his dump dually 1-ton truck to fill up with bow dark.  Man what a blast we had.  I've never seen three cheese heads so wide eyed over two dump trucks of hedge.  It took us two days to fill the truck twice but many people benefited from the harvest including the boy scouts down there at o-jam.

You cheese heads need to get back down to OJAM in the future. It was a blast having ya'll there. Do you have a picture of the van cramed full of hedge ?
 Don't hear much from Littletree, Brad, anymore. Is he okay ?

Hey snakewood,

Yeah, we need to get down there again.  This next o-jam is on our list.  I got two boys 14TEEN and 12 and they love to shoot bows.  We just had a four day trad hunt, camping and hunting all day long.  We saw 12 deer two coyotes and lots of squirrels and pheasant.  One monster buck stopped short of my circle by three yards.  ALMOST!  Still very exciting.  I'd love to take you up on that invite to hunt hog sometime.  May by before o-jam.

Here's a 29" ntn osage I made n played with over a year n a half ago. It made it to 50@15" or 16" before it split a big lengthwise crack thru most the bow down center. It can be still shot,n if I sinewed it I'm sure I could get 20" of draw with that lil bugger. I still wanna try this in a lil longer version like in the mid 40's and try to take it out to a mid twenty+ inch draw unbacked.

BLKMB,  thats some bow!  I like it.  How wide and do you still shot it w/crack that formed?  M 1st design cracked out as well.  Sinew seem like the way to go here.  

SNKWOOD-  I'll try to get the boys there for the hog chase.  

Brad is still just over the hill from me.  I'm working on a bow that will send an arrow into his front deck.  Its only 1.75 miles as a crow flies.  I'm waiting for a good tail wind to help arrow flight.

He gave his bow to a younger person and now has been chipping on a stick of hop hb.  one end is rough stave and the other is finished shape.  All with his knife!!!!!!!lots of blisters and blood.  last I saw it was tillered to around 24".  I'll tell him howdy for ya.

I dont know a single bowyer in my area or even a non mechanical archer for that matter.

Just got out of the woods no luck.  across the road on the other side of the valley my parents say the deer are running laps around there house.  Rut is happening right now!!!.  Some big buck took a dump right under my tree next to his scrape.  Too bad he did'nt show this morning.

Anyway I got this thing cut out and it looks good.  Now onto the forms.

Sharpend- I cut the form to be a little over bent past where I wanted it to go.  Then when it came out of the form it decompressed to the desired shape.

Dont even go near a chrono... Just shoot it and enjoy it for what it is. A perfect lil brush bow.

How did this ever end up? Did she work, how did she shoot?
Did you get your desired wieght?
Hows the hand shock and accuracy?

Please let me know, very curious, love the shorties.

I have another question on this.

Where did you get the wood, was it part of what you show being harvested? Was it a piece of standard lumber?
If it was wood you harvested, did you chase it down to one ring, and make it from a stave?
