bandsaw blade

What size and tooth count blade should I use to cut osage?  I have a 14" bandsaw with 6" riser block that I use for carving decoys but the blades I have are pretty thin and I'm not sure if they're up to cutting a bow from an osage stave.

I'd suggest the widest your saw will handle unless you're planning on cutting curves.
3 or 4 teeth per inch. Hook style or for ripping.

4 tpi skip or hook works best for me.

I like 3/4" blades for stave work. 4 hook tpi. They're considerably thicker than 1/2" and don't flex/twist as much... which makes it easier on my saw, and me.
