Aussie timber bow.
« on: December 07, 2012, 11:32:00 PM »
Some shots of new deflex/reflex bow ala Kennym. Made from aussie timbers, riser is Gidgee and black wattle. Unfortunately shots dont show figure in grain very well.

gidgee is a very hard and heavy timber which has many varieties. This is straight gidgee but ringed and purple gidgee can be spectacular. Unfortunately it is not really available on a commercial level mainly coming from small chainsaw mills. This bow is very smooth on the draw and very easy to shoot. It is cut well inside centershot due to our associations rules concerning bow design and classification, but it still shoots very straight.Hope you enjoy. Bob

Nice bow Bob, I miss all the "funny names" of things back home.  I'd like to see these yanks pronounce some of the country town names.
