Tradgangers work on display (More Pics Added)
« on: December 13, 2012, 02:03:00 PM »
Well a few months ago you may have seen a post from me asking for people to submit some of their fine work for display in a wildlife art show at the art center I work at. I had a few of our brothers show interest and got work from several of them. We had the opening on friday the 8th and below are photo's of their works displayed. You will recognise several of the pieces as they have been showcased here and on other threads previously. I am very proud to have been a part of this and to showcase the skills of traditional archers.
Big thanks to Charles Sinclair (snakewood3), Roy Painter (Roy from PA) and Dan Landis for there contributions. Also John Scifres who has generously offered a bow that we ave not been able to put on display yet.
If you are anywhere near central NY please stop by and see this show. Along with the traditional hunting weaponry there are numerous mounts, paintings, photography and sculptures including a full size whitetail made entirely of antlers.

Thanks Roy. Having problems with Photobucket, can't get the photo's to the right size. Only one that has taken is this quiver. Hopefully will get it sorted out soon.

She is helping me. Photobucket used to be easy, everything loaded at 640 wide, now its a pain the back end. Will get more up tomorrow or maybe tonight.

No problem Joe. Next time we do something where I can include Tradgangers, I'll definitely give you a call.

I have a bunch more photo's that I will try to post tomorrow. This was a fun project to be a part.

This is very cool! I missed your original post on it. Not that I had anything worthy to offer. Thanks for posting the pics. I didn't know others were having the same trouble with photobucket as I was.

Tony,
Thank you and the staff at VIEW for this great display. It is important that the art viewing public can get some positive exposure to traditional archery and hunting.
I appreciate all the positive comments on my work. There is a great deal of talent and craftspersonship here on Trad Gang. I try to do things different, my own way, while retaining function.
 Thanks again everyone !

I have had some conversations with Board members and other guests and the response to the work of our brothers has been outstanding. People are genuinely impressed with the work displayed. I can't tell you how proud and impressed I am to havevbee a part of this. I invite all of you to come and see this show if you can.
