Some great looking bows are getting done.  All keepers as far as I can see.

Thadbow, anywhere from clear to medium stain should look great.

Great take down bows guys. I vote for a shade darker on Thadbow, similar to myrtle wood.

Shawn,

What are the veneers/lams under the clear glass. Really nice looking.

Sorry its a little blurry in the pic Troy.  Thats myrtle veneers that I used.  I was hoping they would have a little more figure to them.  There kinda plain.

Nice bows Everyone! Thadbow, not real dark, but a shade or two darker. Just to bring out the figure in the maple.
I'm working on plan B, C, and D after plan A broke.

So I got home from a looooong work trip and had a package to unwrap.  Thanks so much Al Dean for a sweet shooting and sweet looking bow and for having patience with me posting pictures.  I love the wood choices and the handle wrap first perfect.  Smooth drawing and the first thing my wife said when taking pictures of me shooting "I didn't hear you shoot.  That's either super quiet or you broke it."  Thanks so much and I'll get some better pictures that will do it more justice for the bow swap thread.  THANKS SO MUCH AL DEAN!

So I figured if I got a bow I should work a bit on the one I'm sending out.  Here it is after the flipped tips and pulled to somewhere between 26"-35"    :knothead:

Congrats Goose, nice work Al

I also recieved my bow from Kenny M this morning, it seemed like today took forever. I shot till I couldnt feel my fingers, its a bit chilly 28 and a stiff breeze.

Kenny did a great job on the bow. Its a 64" 52@28, with his design the weight is there early and is smooth all the way back to anchor. And she spits 550gr cedars like a champ.

I cant wait to take a turkey with this bow in a few weeks.

Kenny also made me a matching grunt call to go with the bow.

Sydney had to get in on the bow swap too!

Kenny thanks again for the great bow, this baby is gonna fill my freezer.
I doesnt matter how many bows you build yourself, the one somebody builds you is always special.

lololol Cory I'm wearing that same sweatshrit at this very moment.  It feels great.  Anyway.  Thad I'd like it a little darker and bring out that grain a little.

Shawn that myrtle looks awsome.  Its getting to be some of my favorite woods.

Congrats to Goose and Cory on getting their bows.  Looks like you both got great shooters.  Well done Kenny and Al.  I like the grunt call too Kenny.  Ever since you posted that you put something extra in the crate I have wondered more about that "extra" thing more than the bow. lol.

Great looking bows being made.  All of you guys are awsome.  It would be a true honor to have any of them show up at my door.

I haven't done much else to mine, I've been working on three at once.  The tiller needs just a little bit more but not much at all.  I'll get some pics when I get it a little closer.
