Kevin, those knocks are amazing.  The first I've seen on this site.

D, skinny grips are no prob for a guy with short fat stubby hands like mine.  :bigsmyl:

On the hand shock, you might need to work of the tips.  That usually helps my bows with that problem.

I can not believe the bows coming out this year!  The detail and wood combos are amazing!  Isn't it something that when you build a bow for somebody else how you do not mind going the extra mile?

Maybe I should go check the front doot. Been working in the shop all day building and installing some upper cabinets for storage. Can't hear a thing when the saws are going.

Nope, just checked and nothing....  :dunno:

Been away for a few days and see that many bows have shipped.  Alas, I won't be able to check my porch for a couple more days.  I'm about 350 miles away from home for my sister-in-laws' wedding.  I have to wait till Monday eve to see if I've gotten anything yet!!

I am getting the itch to get going on this bow again.  At last check, I had the spliced veneers done, the core lams and glass from Kenny ready to go, and the handle roughed out.  So maybe by next weekend I'll be able to get her glued up?  I hope anyway.

Got to work a few hours on my trade bow today.  I think working on it was easier than fighting with the new and improved version of photo bucket.

I got it to profile.  It is 56" tip to tip.  I is 1 1/8" at fades to 2/3 of limbs then taper to 5/8" tips.  Very snakey and knotty.

Now to put the heat gun to work and take a couple dipity dos out of it before I start tillering.

The mailman passed my house and didn't even slow down.  Rats!

Thanks for the tip on the hand shock Mr. Flanrey.  I worked on it some today and got some of it out.  I've still got some work to do on the tips though.  Like glue them on..lol I got the tiller looking pretty good. I did manage to get the riser pretty well done.

D, I love the colors on that riser.

Funny little story on the snakey stave:  I showed it to my dad this afternoon.  He wants to see every bow I make.  He looked it over and with all sincerity "I sure hope you can get all those curves straightened out, but I bet your can't."

Nice bows,

Don't know if this one will be for here or the PA swap. It is a shorty 50", might gets some sinew later but I think I need to heat it up a bit.

I am just moving from floor tillering and put a string on it that is only about a 1/2" shorter then the ktk so it is tight but I think I see a bit of an issue with string alignment. What do you think?

From one end.

Now laying flat.
