LOL  canopyboy you could be talking about the person I drew also or me.   :)   I don't post much I mostly read.  I can't find a whole lot more about my person than the specs I was sent.

I'm considering trying to build my first glass bow in the near future but don't think I'd do that for the trade bow.  I try to build something I would like to have but I'm open to most anything as I'm not too experienced in trad bows.

I love archery and woodworking so building bows seemed like a logical thing to try but I'm really intrigued by some of the beautiful veneers people put under glass and the cool risers so I'll have to try it some day.  I have a lot of woodworking equipment so building a bow hot box would just be another fun project.  My recent retirement should also help a little with more shop time.   :)

Ralph, you mean I'm already ahead of you.

Glued up the riser block and pulled out the limb material.

Just got to make sure I have the limb bolts and inserts.

I do like takedowns I don't think I have one yet... Weird. I also like natural bias and bows with snake skins. Pretty much anything but a hill style. They hurt my teeth. Lol.

Personally I like all styles of bows as long as they are takedown.

Back when I used to travel alot the one piece I was shooting at that time was nothing but a pain.

After I switched back to the takedown style life became much easier.

As long as it shoots where I'm aiming, has sweet copperhead skins, made from a crazy snake bend with about 14 holes, and a Pope and Young whitetail attached at the business end.  I don't ask for much haha    :smileystooges:

Goose I can't wait to see what you turn out this year. May have to ask for some help along the way as well. I have a cool snakey american elm I may have a go at... I think with some bolo or such tips and skins it will be a SAWEEET looking creation!!!

Like I told you Ralph. Your sucking hind T!# tonight. My riser block is already glued together and limb material is on standby. Just needed to know what weight to build.

oh man, what did I get myself into?!  I'm more nervous than I've ever been!  I think I'm getting cold feet over here.  I have no idea what I'm gonna build!  I'm not even sure I can build a nice bow!  What's a bow?!

This is probably the part where I learn humility, and patience, huh?
