David - Cool limb design.  What's it look like at full draw?

Thad - That bow is really sharp!

Thad great looking bow.  I love your emblem on the riser.

Kevin sorry to hear about your bow.  I'm glad that the guy didn't get hurt but serves him right to get a good thumpin from it.  Let that knot be a good lesson for him.

I got all of that red covered up with about six coats of dye and its got a nice color.  I'm not far from done.  Gotta shoot it some more and then finish the clear.  I sprayed one coat on it just to keep the dye getting messed up and bring out some of the color of the wood for the pics.  Waiting on them to finish downloading. tick tock tick tock tick tock..lol

Just cut new lams for take II, gonna sand them tomorrow with the help of my lovely assistant.  Need to glue up the riser section yet and order new glass from Kenny, but it's coming along okay.  Some warmer days ahead, so it should be a little better in the garage/shop.  Who knows, maybe it'll get over 45 without the heater?

Excellent work, D!  I really like tip underlays.  At the end of the day, you can get away with LESS wood at the tips than a static design made from one piece of wood.  That is to say, a laminated section "x" inches thick will be stronger than a non-laminated section "x" inches thick.  So, you need less wood to keep it stiff.  Anyway, I digress...

Good choice and great work!  Somebody's gonna be really happy when that shows up!

Bob my friend don't you tell me that mine is someting to be proud of when you have built the beauty that you made......Lets go though my afternoon...I tried to rush through the work day today because I have to drive to knoxville tonight and get up with my brother because we are getting on a plane tomorrow and flying down the the Dominican Republic...so I get done with work and rush home to finish packing a few small things and grab a quick shower...I think I'm gonna turn on the computer and get on tradgang and tell everybody on there that I'd be out of pocket for a few days so if there was by chance that someone was gonna ship a bow to my open arms (lol) to wait until the middle of next week if at all possible anyway while the computer was bootin up I leashed up my dog to take him out and when I opened the back door the dog ran out and hit a long cardboard tube that just about hit me in the face.  You talk about GREAT timing.  The dogs pee break was rushed some as I had way more important things to attend to lolol...Bob this bow is awsome..and yes the grip feels great.  You have outdone yourself.  I love the wood with the black strips in it..hairy oak I think.  This is my first "D" shaped longbow.  I haven't gotten a chance to shoot it yet but I have no doubt that it will spit an arrow.  The tips look great too.  The whole bow just looks great.  Its absolutly amazing to me to have a bow from Australia.  I have been so lucky the last two years in this swap...Thank you to everyone that makes this happen.  I know it means a lot to everybody on here.  I only had time to take a few pic and neither which do it the justice it deserves.  Thank you again Bob..

Very relieved you like the Bow David. I've had an anxious time trying to track its progress to you. Once it landed in US it changed courier service and I lost tracking.Hope it serves you well.By the way I still really like the bow your doing.
