Thank you again Buck....  really a sweet shooter   :)

Advise needed...........

Working on one of my candidates and would like some opinions. I struggled a bit with this Yew stave. It had some twist and need a bit of straightening (plain did not want to heat bend). When I was close to weight it started to twist right at the handle so I cut in two pieces (one one each side) of heart wood to stiffen that area and it seem to have worked. I've put a 100 of so arrow through it and it seems to be holding up well.

Question #1.....  The back is so white would you skin it??

Question #2..... If you received this bow with my attempt at stiffening the handle would you be happy with it???

Looking for honest opinions.....  I have several candidates aside from this Yew ELB…

NO PICS OVER 600 PIXELS WIDE

200-250 arrows thru it with a b-50 string.I put a d97 string on it and on the 1st shot it split the horn overlay cutting down the limb 10".There is horn still glued on all three pieces.

Man Joe that sucks big time. Guess it wasn't fastflight compatible.

Coaster, I would leave it as is. The contrast in colors is just classic for yew elb and the stiffening pieces add character. I'd be happy with it.

Kip, if it's coming my way leave it as is, I wouldn't have a problem with the handle improvement either.

Joe, I feel for ya, especially when you have that much time invested.
