Came home just now to find the postman coming back down our road (he drops at my house first.) As I pulled into the driveway, he pulled in behind me. Dang! He must have a package that needed a signature! I was thinking about some of the bows that were out for delivery and started to salivate. It's already been a great day, it's just getting better. Turns out he had put my neighbor's mail in my box and was turning around to correct the problem. He asked if I was waiting for a bow or something. I hadn't mentioned anything and haven't received a bow for months. Guess he could see it in my eyes.
Good news is that I've managed to get all my parts machined for a new bow press and lam grinder. Better news is that I got my shop as clean as it's been in years (if ever) in order to have a little room to work this year.
Bad news is that I told my wife I entered the swap again this year. While I got to sleep in my own bed last night, I did have to promise to build my daughter's dresser before I work on any bow. Uhg.
Good news is that my bow class with Dave Miller is still on for the end of May. (I sent a deposit in so she couldn't change her mind.) If I don't get the swap bow done before then, at least my recipient will stand a better chance of getting a better bow AFTER someone tries to teach me what I'm supposed to be doing....
