nope only guns for hunting and lines for fishing and then you need lots of landowners permission and licences for deer. all in the name of fair sportsman ship and they claim a gun will guarantee a clean kill. but then this country is messed up

Thats what you get in exchange for high taxes in the UK, overbearking legislagation and a healthcare system thats underwater. The US is only a plane flight away and we speak the same language, sort of.

I say sell what you have got and move over.  Tennessee is a great place to live.  For a lisence and a bow tag it cost me 60 dollars a year to hunt and there is a lot of public land.  I don't know what other states cost but at least you can use a bow in all of them lolol.  If I had to use just a gun I wouldn't bother hunting.

Anybody get any bows???  I got the new riser shaped to for the most part tonight.  The tiller change a little bit from the new handle so I gotta fix that but not too much of a problem.  I hope...

The sinew is off a bull moose that I killed at 4yds about 8 yrs ago..I didn't sneak up on him, he snuck up on me..

I was focused on a small spike bull and cow, with no shot they walked into the bush, getting dark, was just about to get up and head back to cabin, when I noticed that a new bull had walked right up behind the cottonwood tree that I was up against. He walked broadside, took the shot, he kept on feeding and died about 10 feet further on.. From the tree to where he was when I shot, was just over 5 arrow lengths..
Then I started shakin...whew...

Bet you guys think I died LOL.

Still here and been dropping in and keeping tabs but ain't been posting. Been covered up at work and busier than all get out.

Any way I plan to start building a form next week when I go on day shift then I'll be ordering the material and building my first glass bow. Pretty excited about it. All you fellers that are hoping for Troy's sweet recurve to show up can quit frettin' cause it landed here yesterday.

Troy this is one of the nicest recurves I have seen. Looking forward to putting some arrows through it on sunday. I'll take some pics and post them then too.

Thanks for a great bow my friend it will be in the deer woods this fall for sure and I'll be taking it to the hunt up north.

Well, gotta leave for the west coast for a family thing that came up.  I was hoping Troy's bow would show before my plane this afternoon.  Guess I can stop worrying about it sitting at the PO for a couple of days....

Congrats Stiks!
