I think I've got the finish issue fixed. Now just need to decide if I'll put a handle wrap on it or not. Hmm. Maybe I'll take some pics and see what ya'll think.

BTW, nice bow Kevin and 4est. Fantastic!

for any of you guys wondering if you were going to be lucky enough to get that terrific 'snake' bow Soy posted a little while ago,   BAD LUCK!!! its all mine!!! And if that wasnt enough Soy even included a really great hackberry flattie as well!!Never rains but it pours!! I cant put up action photos just now 'cause the Minister for War and Finance is laid up with a nasty 'bug' but as soon as possible I will post some to do these great bows justice. Grateful thanks from humbled recipient.

I'm not sure what the worst part about this is. Building the bow, wondering which one I'm gonna receive or waiting to hear from the person that got mine because the post office says it was delivered 4 hrs ago!

Ya know, I used to like Australia    :(
Well, congrats anyway Bob!

I'm gonna get some pics of a possible handle wrap tonight when I get off work and see what ya'll think of it. I still haven't decided if I'm going to put it on yet.  I'm wanting to come up with something else to put in the box but I'm having trouble thinking of anything.  Anyway, if I can keep from shooting it all weekend I'll be sending her out on Saturday. Then I can sit back and watch all the rest of them being made and wonder which one will be mine    :D

Ok, what do you guys think.

Without a handle wrap

Or with this leather

Here's another

Obviously it still needs cut down and such.  I just keep going back and forth about it.  I think the color looks good, and I'd probably use it for the strike plate as well with a black bear hair-type arrow shelf.

So, whaddya think?  Yay or nay?
