If I haden't already got my sweetness from Bigbob I would say that I wouldn't mind if the weight came in a little light but since I have already got mine there's no need for me to comment..lolol

I plan on shipping mine out Saturday morning.

Some issues have kept me from getting my swap bow finished, and now I am not sure what the deadline date is.
Someone care to post the date?

Pete,
The shipping deadline is July 7th.  You still have plenty of time.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Ink if you want 100 opinions from 50 people post your question over on the pow-wow, the debate will never end.

35#@28 or 30" draw is probably fine .... 35#@20" draw probably not fine.

I'd personally argue that 40-45# is about the minimum, its not hard to pull that.

Nice bows, guys. Under wt. or over wt. Either's okay with me.

Finally had a chance to work on my swap bow. This has not been a good spring for my limited skills! I've messed up two BBO bows since March. i'm still trying to salvage the second bow. Must have some kinda "block" when it comes to boo!   :dunno:

My trade bow is a maple backed osage. I haven't tried maple until now but it looks nice.

It is glued up with about 2" of perry reflex.  This afternoon I'll take off the clamps and get a center line and profile drawn out. Tomorrow I'll cut to profile and begin reducing limb thickness. Hopefully it'll be floor tillered as well. Saturday I should have a long string on it.

I shipped mine last Friday and checked the tracking number and it said "mis-shipped" on the USPS website on 5/20.  The new shipping date is 5/21.  Anyone get a bow and not post it?  I hate the suspense of not knowing when/if it will arrive intact. Also when you shoot it make sure the writing is right side up whomever it is that gets it.

Goose Gossett,

That package is received and the recipient is very very happy with the bow and promises he will post pics once he stops shooting it. I promise I meant he promises.

Ha Kelly thats funny...Congrats

I agree with the 45# range being the minimum for hunting.

Bob the bow is doing great no problems at all.  I shot it a round at my local 3-D club.  It done just perfect.  Hey I'm gonna recycle the tube you sent and ship mine it Saturday morning.  If it made it all the way from Australia to Tennessee then surely it can make it to ******************'s house ok. I HOPE.....

Got my trade bow cut to profile this aftrnoon... After doing a few "honey do" chores. It didn't hold quite as much reflex as I had expected.
In the morning I'll begin reducing thickness... Now if I can remember who my recipient is I'll be in good shape!    :biglaugh:
