I know I don't post very often at all but my swap bow is done and ready to send.  It is a r/d Hickory Backed Hickory with phenolic tips and a hard maple and walnut handle. I hope it finds a happy new owner.

Ranger44, very nice.  Love me some hickory.  And nice use of domestics.  My plan A bow is all local wood I cut, milled, and dried myself.  Gave up and had Kenny turn into lams though.  They're back and I hope to start the glue-ups this weekend.

The risers are ready to go as of this evening:

I have enough lams and glass to make three bows.  All will be string-follow hill bows.  Plan A and B are Cherry and black locust bows with clear glass.  Plan C is the one for me, but if worse comes to worse it will get shipped to ******.  It is all yew with black glass.

I figure once you get into the glue-up cycle, you might as well bang out more than one.  I know that three risers didn't take much longer than one.  Here goes nothin'....

Oh, and Ralph:  You sure you didn't mark the shelf on the wrong side just to mess with me?

Hill style bows are my favorite for stump shooting..they just make the arrow fly true..

It would not hurt my feelings if one of those Hill bows was going to be traveling north...

Now I'm really thinking you did that just to trick everyone Ralph ... I'm like a little kid waiting for a bow to show up at the door!

This has been the most fun thread to watch.

Canopyboy, I can't wait to see those risers finished.  I'm hoping to start making glass bows soon and the endless possibility of the look of risers has me fired up.

I should get my bow to the post office today and it will head north.
By the way all mail goes north first from here.  It all goes through St. Paul. lol

That's a cruel caveat right there.  Poor Kevin has been just dying for something to make its way north of Minnesota since sending his bow out early.

Ranger44,

That's pretty funny...

And I am about as anxious as a person can get after seeing all those fine bows showing up on other people's doorsteps..ha
