How could anyone possibly compete with that? LOL

I will either make a bow or skin one of my own and give it to the intended recipient. Please put me in the bow swap.

When is the deadline? And when will the draw begin? Not much of a leadership presence this year. So who's in charge?

SEMO - The swap is almost over for this year. Sign up was back in January and the deadline for shipping is July 7 (but I'm sure there will be some tardiness).

Stiks-n-Strings and KellyG are heading it up again this year and keeping track of things.

I imagine the next sign up will be in January 2014.

I'll probably miss the deadline by a bit but I will make it happen. Been really busy this year but that's good when your working for yourself.

Finally the weather gods were good to me and I could go out and shoot the bow I got from LittleBen. It draws nice and smooth and it's a charm to shoot.

Thanks again LittleBen for that great bow.

I kinda figured it was too late, couldn't remember when the draw was?
I pop in and out mostly just reading the posts and looking at the fine bows you all are putting out. I have to say there are some very talented bowyers here as always. I quit making bows for a bit, been skinning some bows and limbs for other TG members. I'm starting to get the itch for building again, hopefully get one done this summer.

Didn't mean that in a disrespectful way or anything, just that things change a bit when you haven't been around much. I don't even know who the moderators are now. LOL   :knothead:

Andy, I'm glad you enjoyed the bow. I know it came in light for what you requested, btu once I shot it, I thought it was exactly the way it wanted to be and I didn't want ruin it fixing something that wasn't broken.

It was hard to ship that one off, but it found a nice new home.

I'm just sad SEMO found that picture I thought I had erased from all my old archives... I'm guessing he works for the NSA and had it downloaded in his computer in Utah.   :bigsmyl:

I just got this awesome osage selfbow from Tsosie "Sacred MT" Taylor.  Imagine my joy after spending the morning dropping $850 on a new water heater in getting such a great surprise.

I think it might have been sent to the wrong address though since the accompanying note said something about the swap being rewarding because Tsosie got to build a bow for a "master bowyer".  Maybe that was in last year's swap???  At any rate, I'm keeping it.  The "master bowyer" can come wrestle me for it.

I immediately got my arrows out and then watched one of the regular downpours we have been having start.  I still put a couple through it from inside the garage.  Awesome shooter.  I sure wish I could send some of this rain out to Tsosie in AZ.  My heart hurts for the firefighters and their friends and families out there   :(

Thanks for the great bow and nice surprise.  May all our hearts be lighter through the joy of our friends here at Tradgang.

Take a kid hunting!
