Yes, I remember that post every day....

Although I'm getting close now.  Need to start carving the leather for the handle. String is made.  Need to ink the specs on the bow and apply one more coat of finish.  Need to talk my daughter into making a bow sock.  Need to shoot it in a little more.  (Not going to let ****** have all the fun.)  Should ship by Monday or Tuesday if all goes as planned.

Got this in the mail today!

All the way from Inksoup in Turkey!
I'll post some other pics when I go out and shoot it this afternoon.  I've never had a takedown bow before, and I want to try your tip design on my next bow. She's a beaut!  Thanks Inksoup!

Finally shaped the new handle on my trade bow. Should finish tillering this weekend. Hopefully I'll have it shot in and get it finished this week.

I know my recipient is getting anxious and I apologize. For the last two years my bows were finished on time. This year seems like nothing is going right!   :banghead:

Awesome bows, guys!!!

I know how you feel red,
This has not been a good year for me either. Last year I was done in time, this year I am three weeks late and I just broke my plan c.     :knothead:

Nice bow Ink.  Well done.

My swap bow is done (only 2 weeks late.)  The problem is that it's about the smoothest, sweetest bow I've ever shot.  I'm not sure how I lucked into that and I have doubts on my ability to do it again.  Therefore, I must reluctantly withdraw from the swap and keep this bow for myself.

Ok, kidding, but I won't swear that the thought never crossed my mind.  I wanted to take a couple measurements and pictures of the bow tonight, and my wife promised to make a bow sock for it.  Should be shipped tomorrow.

The bow was well excercised on Sunday as I took it to my club's shoot.  I also put it through the chrono for kicks, and I was sending 10 gpp arrows downrange at 174 ft/s.  Not bad for a lower weight, stringfollow Hill bow.

Anyhow, feels great to be done.  :archer:

If you've misplaced my address, Canopy, I'll pm it to ya. I'm sure it will be worth the wait for whoever gets it.

I can attest to everything Dave (canopyboy) says about that bow. I had the chance to shoot it and I'm gonna tell you it might be the nicest shooting bow I've ever had my hands on. IIRC with a 515gr arrow @ 25" and maybe 35# it shot 130fps. I was stunned. Not to mention it has almost no handshock, and was especially smooth to draw.

I also shot one of Dave's other Hill bows, from a very well known maker (that dave finished from a blank) and I can say without a doubt his swap bow is the superior bow. Poor guy's gonna have to send it away now.

No it's not! I wish it was. I got to shoot the one you built. That's the first hickory bow I've got to see and is a beauty!

You know, with as many bows as there are still out there, you'd think this thread would see more activity....

Consider me shipped as of 5:00:27 PM.  Will PM Kelly my tracking number.  Should arrive Thursdayish.  Hope ******** likes it.
