Ok I was at MOJAM from Friday til Sunday. So I will get caught back up. I did get my bow pulling to the right Draw with at least 3# to spare from the Minimum. It is a hackberry put on DVS's reflex-Dflex caul. As I bent the limbs I toasted the belly. I had thought i really burn the back also from the heat coming of the back of the call but it was just the Glue. I was able to sand past it. It has really added Snap to the bow.

I will finish it up over the next few days and send some more arrows through her. I plan on putting some Blacc rat snake or corn snake skins on her and maybe some antler on the tips. But we shall see. I will get some pics of her up once I get her dressed up.

Mine got crated...I mean packaged, this evening, the label is made and taped on, it will be picked up tomorrow some time; should be there on either Friday or Saturday.  To the recipient, I apologize for shipping late.

I am out of town until Sunday evening and will open the bow I received then, after confirming the bow I built has been received.

Everybody, some really nice bows were built this year, congratulations to you all!
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Actually the bow was ready for shipping almost three weeks ago. But problems occurred and I had to make some minor modifications to the bow. ******* I'm sorry for the delay and I hope you still like it. Some pictures of the transformation...

Ok I have caught up on reading and am pleased to say   a lot of really nice bows have come through so far.

And heck I a lot in the mail. Sorry I have not kept better track this year.

I am finish up my bow. I should get her skinned and handle on and ready to go in the mail by Monday.

Just had a heart attack just a few minutes ago, when I was checking weight after sanding a bit on it and the dare scale broke. I really thought the bow gave at 25".

OH I crapped myself!

It's quite a while since I wanted to do that, but I never had the guts to actually do it. It felt very strange when I had the bow cut in half and I was thinking kind of: Hope this works out well, otherwise I look like a bloody idiot. The sleeve is made of several layers of glass mesh and epoxy. There is a good build along on pirates of archery for those who want to give it a try.
