This morning I shot my trade bow about 30 times (right handed no less) and put 3 more coats of tru-oil on it. It shoots well and quick. I really like the bamboo on the back of Osage.  The next bow I make for myself will be a BBO. Don't want everyone else to have all the fun!

**********, your bow will be in the mail Monday! I'm truly sorry I didn't get it to you sooner.   :archer2:

I was showing this trade bow to my next door neighbor yesterday. He asked if I had received one yet. You know, I hadn't even thought about that! I told him its actually more exciting giving one to someone else!!!   :archer:

Who am I kidding? It's all exciting as he'll!   :jumper:

Red, it's funny you say that.  Everyone I try to explain this to asks the same question, "What did/do you get?"

-Satisfaction-

They often don't get it.  Especially my wife.

Yeah, David. I hadn't thought about it in quite awhile. I was so concerned with finishing up my recipient's bow that I forgot I was receiving one also!

After I spoke with Steve (my neighbor) I remembered there was still something to look forward to!

Anyway, my bow has been shipped as of 8:50 am. Someone should receive a tube on Wednesday if the USPS runs on time!!! Keep watching ************!   :campfire:

Been working 3 jobs at the moment so shop time has been limited. I have been trying to be as efficient as possible and got the hickory backing glued on tonight. Will clean it up tomorrow and see how she looks then put the handle and glued on recurved tips on. I'm working all weekend but should have an hour or two during the day and the nights to get the tillering done. hopefully the pre-tillering I did before the glue up will help get it done quickly. I'm excited about this one, hickory backed hickory pyramid bow. it is from a belly split and will hopefully have some heartwood left after tillering. Wife has the camera at work but will bug her to bring it home so I can get some pics up. need to get this done so I can shoot the bow I have already got. Won't shoot it till I get my bow done and delivered.

Glad to see we're still moving forward. Haven't had time to do much bow work myself (just a bit) so this forum is my only reprieve from this nonsense they keep calling work.

I know how that is, Ben. But I don't have any excuses. As a teacher I get plenty of time off during the summer. Things just wouldn't go right for me!!!   :banghead:

But now I'm a happy camper. I just checked the usps tracking service and as of 8:41 my trade bow was on its last leg to my recipient's home! So ********** should be shooting a BBO this afternoon. Just hope it's what he needed.   :archer2:

Take your time on the string I think you shipped me 4 strings with that bow. By the way you also make the best strings I have ever seen!
