He has an excuse for not taking stuff to PA, but I live in the same state! I'm totally filing a complaint with the better business  bureau lol.  You're right though. He is tops to deal with. I just hope the wood he is sending is pretty enough for ol ***************************

That is if this dern bow works out.

Since the weather is too cold to do any glue-ups, I figured I'd layout the riser.

I picked this block out. Cocobolo Dyamondwood on the back and Bubinga on the belly with maple and Black Walnut accent stripes.

Going back to a design I've used in the past. By the time I glass the back of the riser and add afew overlays it should be really sharp.

Think I'm going to us black glass on the limbs with A-Boo core. If I'm right I have enough Bubinga to make the limb wedges.

May even add alittle antler in the overlays and limb tips if I have enough to do it.

I'm thinking of trying out my first spliced veneer on this thing.  Whaddya think of the design?

I've got some really nice quarter sawn sycamore that has this awesome grain, and maybe some figured walnut for the darker parts.

I agree with wood carver 2.  This swap might be enough to get me over the hump to try making a glass bow.  I love the woods you guys are showing us.

I can't go to PA cause of the LIST! LOL

Joe, have you got the same flare on limb and riser? That would be cool if it would work, and only 1 pattern!

Shawn, those will be killer lams!!
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Kenny, I actually hadn't thought of that, but that would be pretty smart.  I had actually thought about doing a full length S-curve but then I saw the bow you did for last years swap and didn't want you to think I had copied you!  That was a gorgeous bow, by the way!  You really inspired this curvy little combo.  I only hope I can make it work as well as you did.
