Hey Monkey man, nothing wrong with that stave, as long as it is going to Roy.   :biglaugh:

Oh dang it, I missed the sign-up. Oh well, there's always next year. Maybe in the mean time I can always get a bow done for myself, which I haven't done in a while. Think of it as a practice year. Good luck to everyone this year!

Man, I can't wait any longer! Who else is checking thier inbox about 10000 times a day?

Also, I put that I wanted a glass bow, but after hearing ya'll talk about these self bows, I'd take one of them too! How do I change my requests? I'd really take anything! Maybe I'm just excited so actually get one of these nice bows I see ya'll making!

I wasn't 100% sold on the idea of making a glass lam r/d longbow this year and while looking at my bow rack I got what I believe is a great idea for the swap.

The swap is all about pushing you to the next level and trying something new. Well I've never made a recurve and as I scanned through my bow rack a recurve popped out at me. Its from the early 70's and has a very unique limb design. I am fortunate enough that the bowyer is still with us today and lives a short 10 minute drive from me.

I just got off the phone with the bowyers wife and I have a meeting with him this Saturday to talk about my plans of me possibly bringing his long lost limb design back to life for the swap. I'm hoping he is willing to help me with pointer through my first recurve build.

David, the recurve sounds awesome! Want me to just send you my address and you can start building?
