Well today was an interesting day for me.  I had an infected hair on my cheek from shaving about a week ago.  I got it out and all was well.  The bump went away.  Then the day before yesterday it started swelling and swelling and swelling.  Got on antibiotics that next morning (yesterday).  Got up this morn and it had swelled a little more and my girlfriend is a nurse for my doctor.  She took a pic of my face on her cell phone.  She took it to work and showed my doc.  He said I HAD to go see someone or go to the hospital.  So I had to go right in and see an ear nose and throat doc.  Its never a good sign when the doctor walks in to see you and he says "OH MY". lolol.  I got to be the lucky guy that to be stuck with a big A#$ needle three of four times to open it up.  Doc put his finger inside my mouth and pushed junk out of the nice hole that he made.  Thank goodness for liticane is all I gotta say. Evidentelly I haden't got all of the hair out and it set up a staff infection and then went nuts.   So until my chipmonk cheek goes down and the soreness goes away theres no bow work going on for me.  Shouldn't be too long though.

Thats awsome about one bow being received ALREADY.  Cory it looks like you have done an outstanding job.

D. I had something like that except mine was a cist and I landed mine myself...of course I wear a beard now to hide the scar but at least I didn't have to deal with a doc.

GREAT job on that bow, Cory !!
Yeah, really.  I've been lucky enough the last couple years to get my bow shortly after sending out the one I made.  I keep worrying about the guilt of having received a bow while having procrastinated getting one out.

Great job Cory.  Congrats John.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

John,
You're welcome for the bow, I enjoyed making the bow as much as you enjoyed receiving it. Now I can kick back and relax and wait for mine to show up at the door.

There are a lot of sweet bows being built, there are gonna be a bunch of happy archers in the next few months.

I should have mine about to finishing stage before applying finish in couple days. Hope it makes weight. Riser is PNG walnut / hairy/ lacey oak and black wattle belly veneers, all Australian sourced timbers. Core is aboo. Then I have to try and find the best way to get it over there without bankrupting my meager bank balance.Photo next week.

I've got my trade bow tillered out to an inch past my draw length. Everything looks good.  I haven't seen much from ********** so I think I will wait to finish it until I see some progress on their bow.  I'm not worried about them, but I thought it might get some of ypou slackers going.   :biglaugh:

All I have left is final sanding, shoot in, grip, and then finish.

What a difference a day makes.  MUCH better this morning.  A lot of the swelling has gone down so should be in the bowshed in a day or so.

Jeff "Chipmonk" would be a hilrious name for it.  How come you had to scrape your other one??
