Handle spliced and urac applied for Xxxxxx's bow..
The osage was cut from a fencepost taken from a farm in Ohio. Not sure about the age of the wood, but my grandfather worked on the farm as a kid...
Would have turned the post into a selfbow, but with all of the nail holes, I was lucky to get to clean slats..

Goobersan..My uncle made mine for me.  We were talking about having one made in a D and he gave it to me some time later.  He made it out of a brazing rod and small steel rod.  The straight part of the arrow and the bend in the D is a small steel rod and the broadhead and feathers are made of brass.  I'll get a pic of it of on here tomorrow.

Everybodies stuff is looking awsome.  It just blows my mind the stuff that all you talented people come up with.

Thanks guys- Bob other than a little extra time they are fairly easy. This one should be ready to glue into a riser today- just need to get a riser prepared for it....

Been away for a few days and I see that there are several great looking bows coming along and some even finished and shipped.  Wow!

I did get to work on that nasty osage stave some.  Here are a couple pics to show what I'm  dealing with.  I think it should have been a fence post!  I do now have it down to a good ring.  I had to go about an inch further than I wanted because of some checking.

IF!! it makes a bow I'm calling it "Knot Head"

David that's some fun times right there... psh maybe fence post for the lighthearted.

Well.... What do ya think? Ship it, or chop it? I shot another 75 or so arrows through it this afternoon, it spits em out pretty good and where I'm lookin' so that's a plus  :)  It shot best with a 6.5" brace and wood #45-50 29" arrows with 125gr points

All I have to do is sign it and ship it...
