I'm a bit concerned about some of the branches and pin knots, but my main concern is what you see when you flip the stave over and look at it from the belly side.

Because of that check I decided to use a lot of the white wood and hope that the check wouldn't go deep enough to be part of the limb.  Turns out that I was right and after shaping the bow, the only place the check remains is in the handle area.

Here's after initial shaping and some heat bending to get the string laying on the handle.

And here's the initial side profile.

I was able to avoid most of the limbs during layout but I do have a few to deal with along with some bumps and rollercoaster.

And after initial rasping and scraping, it starting to bend nicley at floor tiller.

I hope to finish up floor tillering this week and get it strung up this weekend.  I'll post more once I do.

Well I didn't get much done, but I did manage to finally start on something! Got my spliced veneers started for the trade bow. What do you guys think, too simple?

This will be back and belly under clear glass. I dunno. It may be alright once I actually get everything all laid out. I think maybe I'm just being too critical.

I don't log in for a couple of days and there looks like quite a bit of progress on many bows.  I made a couple of unique strings but I haven't had much time to scrape on some wood.  Great progress everyone and those glass bows underway are looking mighty fine!
