The bow arrived yesterday. It is beautiful. The photographs do not come close to showing how the colors come through the skin. Charles did an amazing job, both with the copperhead skins and the leather grip. I especially like the skin termination at the riser and the tips. I can not grasp the concept of posting photos, but I did send several pics to Charles. I hope he will post them. My photographs fall short of truly depicting just how vivid the skins really are, as well.
The bow is a 60" Osage I bought from Bill Stroupe (Cold Mountain Longbows and Hawk Arrows) 2 years ago. He couldn't recall the bowyer that made her. The intials "BA", the date "5-09" and "Orange Crush" are written on one limb in a very flowing script. If anyone has an idea who the bowyer may be, I would very much like to know. She is a fine shooting bow, and was pretty enough before- now Charles has made her beautiful.
